Dr. Bill Blocker

William “Bill” Blocker was appointed president of the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas, in 2012. He is a respected scholar, author, international speaker, and renowned Bible class teacher. Prior to his current role, Dr. Blocker served as Vice President/Dean at Moody Bible Institute and as senior pastor for Christian Fellowship Church on the south side of Chicago. He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Dr. Blocker regularly leads tours to Israel. Some of his published works include Making the Most of Your Trip to Israel: A Spiritual Formation Guide; Word to the Wise, a daily devotional book; The Word, Worship, and the Work Week, and a New Testament devotional co-authored by CBS Faculty. His radio program (also called Word to the Wise) is heard daily on over 500 stations in 45 states.

Dr. Blocker is married to his high school sweetheart, Zelda.  They will be celebrating their 38th anniversary this year. The Blockers have seven adult children and three grandchildren.

Dr. Charlie Dyer

Dr. Charlie Dyer (Th.M. and Ph.D., Dallas Theological Seminary) is professor-at-large of Bible at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and co-host of The Land and the Book radio program. Charlie is an Old Testament scholar and authority on Middle Eastern history and religion who has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East, leading more than a hundred trips over the past 40 years.

Charlie is the author of numerous books, including A Voice in the Wilderness, The Christian Traveler’s Guide to the Holy Land, 30 Days in the Land with Jesus30 Days in the Land of the Psalms, What’s Next?The Rise of Babylon, The ISIS Crisis, Clash of Kingdoms, Character Counts, What Does the Bible Say about the Future?, and Experiencing the Land of the Book: A Life-Changing Journey through Israel.
