  • Mount Carmel - Jezebel, witch of Endor, Athiliah - the mountain on which Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal
  • Nazareth Precipice - Mary - an overlook of the boyhood hometown of Jesus
  • Cana - Mary - the town where Jesus performed his first recorded miracle by turning water into wine at a wedding
  • Arbel - Syrophoenician woman, Basemath, Tabitha - a vista of the Galilee and sites of Jesus' public ministry

Around the Sea of Galilee 


SITES YOU WILL VISIT
  • Mount Tabor - Deborah, Jael, Judith, widow's son - the traditional (but highly disputed) site of the Transfiguration. Site of Barak and Deborah's battle against Sisera's army
  • Sepphoris - Mosaics: Mona Lisa of the North, Amazon women warriors - the ruins of a wealthy Roman city with an extensive mosaic collection
  • Magdala - the home town of Mary Magdalene where one of the world's oldest synagogues has been excavated
  • Ancient Galilee Boat - a fishing boat dating back to the 1st century, excavated on the shore of the Sea of Galilee

  • Ancient Dan - the northernmost city of Israel and the location of Jeroboam's golden calf
  • Banias Waterfall - the spectacular headwaters of the Jordan River
  • Golan Heights - Esther, Leah, Rebecca - a view of Paul's route to Damascus and modern-day battlegrounds

  • Jericho Overlook - Rahab - the first Canaanite city the Israelites conquered in the Promised Land

  • Beit Guvrin - Abigaila fortified city from the First Temple period and an extensive cavern complex carved beneath the earth
  • Beth Shemesh - Delilah, Tamar of Judah, Samson's motherwhere the Philistines returned the Ark of the Covenant to the Israelites
  • Overview of Jerusalem 
 

wednesday, may 2

Jerusalem, O Jerusalem 


SITES YOU WILL VISIT
  • Mount of Olives - Mary and Marthaa hill overlooking Jerusalem from the east where Jesus wept for the city
  • Garden of Gethsemane - the traditional location where Jesus prayed and was betrayed 
  • David Citadel paved street - Pilate's wife
  • Jewish Quarter in the Old City - one of four neighborhoods inside the ancient walled city of Jerusalem
  • Western "Wailing" Wall - a section of the Temple Mount foundation dating back to the 2nd Temple Period and the most sacred Jewish site in Jerusalem
  • Southern Temple Steps - Anna, Hulda - part of an extensive excavation program which has unearthed the main steps leading up to the Temple Mount complex

  • En Kerem - Elizabeth - the traditional site of the village where Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist, became pregnant and gave birth to John
  • Garden Tomb - an ancient tomb similar to the one in which Christ was buried
