Arrival in Israel

  • Arrival into Tel Aviv - You will be met and assisted through customs, introduced to your driver and guide, and transferred to your hotel on the Mediterranean.

Caesarea Aqueducts

 

Thursday, October 26

Caesarea by the Sea


SITES YOU WILL VISIT
  • Caesarea - the Roman city where Paul first took the message of the Gospel to the Gentiles
  • Caesarea Aqueduct - the ruins of a Roman aqueduct built to supply the ancient city of Caesarea with fresh water
  • Mount Carmel - the mountain on which Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal
  • Megiddo - a strategic city overlooking the gathering place for the armies of Armageddon
  • Mount Arbel - a vista of the Galilee and sites of Jesus' public ministry
YOUR DAY ALSO INCLUDES

A walk through the ancient water tunnel beneath Megiddo.


 

Friday, October 27

Around the Sea of Galilee 


SITES YOU WILL VISIT
  • Mount of Beatitudes - the traditional place where Christ delivered his famous speech on the Beatitudes
  • Tabgha - the traditional place where Christ multiplied the loaves and the fishes
  • Chorazin - the community Jesus rebuked for their lack of faith
  • Capernaum - the town and synagogue where Jesus preached during his Galilean ministry
  • Kursi Overlook - the traditional site where demons entered the swine after being cast out of the demoniac
  • Sea of Galilee - a freshwater lake in northern Israel where Jesus spent three years ministering and performing miracles
  • Ancient Galilee Boat - a fishing boat dating back to the 1st century, excavated on the shore of the Sea of Galilee

Northern Israel

  • Magdala - the hometown of Mary Magdalene and a newly discovered archeological site

  • Caesarea Philippi - where Peter professed, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."
  • Golan Heights - a view of Paul's route to Damascus and modern-day battlegrounds

Beth She'an

Sunday, October 29

Up to Jerusalem

  • Spring of Harod - the traditional location where Gideon chose his 300 men for battle
  • Beth She'an - the ruins of a Roman city near where the Philistines displayed the bodies of King Saul and his sons
  • Jericho Overlook - the first Canaanite city the Israelites conquered in the Promised Land
  • Wadi Qilt - the wilderness where Jesus was tempted by Satan
  • Qumran - the desert caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered

A scenic drive through the Jordan River Valley.


Monday, October 30

Israel: Yesterday and Today

  • Mount of Olives - a hill overlooking Jerusalem from the east where Jesus wept for the city
  • Dominus Flevit on Palm Sunday Road - a church on the route Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday
  • Garden of Gethsemane - the traditional location where Jesus prayed and was betrayed 
  • Model of Jerusalem - a model of Herodian Jerusalem as it looked at the time of Christ
  • Israel Museum/Shrine of the Book - the home of Israel's greatest archaeological treasures and the Dead Sea Scrolls
  • Friends of Zion Heritage Center - an interactive museum featuring Christians who have used their resources to support the Jewish people

A walk in the footsteps of Jesus down Palm Sunday Road.

The Dead Sea

  • Masada - the impenetrable fortress where Jewish zealots made a final stand against Rome
  • Oasis of Ein Gedi - the waterfall and desert caves where David encountered King Saul
  • Dead Sea - a large salt lake in the wilderness and the lowest point on the face of the earth

An opportunity to experience the most floatable body of water in the world.  


 

Wednesday, November 1

Ancient Treasures 


SITES YOU WILL VISIT
  • Temple Mount - where the second Jewish Temple once stood, now home of the Dome of the Rock
  • Tower of David Museum - a fortified citadel and museum which presents the fascinating story of Jerusalem's history
  • Herodian Mansion - the excavated ruins of an elaborate palace from the time of Herod
  • Hezekiah's City Wall & the Roman Cardo - the ancient Roman main street through the Old City
  • Southern Temple Steps - part of an extensive excavation program which has unearthed the main steps leading up to the Temple Mount complex
  • City of David Excavations - the original site of King David's capital of Israel, including the Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah's Tunnel
YOUR DAY ALSO INCLUDES

A trek through the historic and amazing tunnel dug by Hezekiah to survive the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem.


 

Thursday, November 2

The Passion of the Christ


SITES YOU WILL VISIT
  • Western "Wailing" Wall - a section of the Temple Mount foundation dating back to the 2nd Temple Period and the most sacred Jewish site in Jerusalem
  • Rabbinical Tunnel - an underground excavation project which has exposed the full length of the Western Wall
  • Pool of Bethesda & St. Anne's Church - the pool where Jesus healed an infirmed man
  • Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre- the "way of the cross" leading to the traditional site of Jesus' crucifixion
  • Gordon's Calvary & the Garden Tomb - an ancient tomb similar to the one in which Christ was buried
  • Elah Valley - the famous battlefield of David and Goliath
  • Jaffa - the ancient Mediterranean seaport of Joppa, where Jonah set sail
