COVID-19

During this unprecedented time, we all tend to have many questions about the safety and logistics of future international travel. We want to assure you that your safety and well-being are our top priority. Secondarily, we want to deliver the amazing experience that you have been anticipating in a way that is both prudent and enjoyable. Morning Star Tours is partnering with our Land Operators and the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, and consulting the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and the WHO (World Health Organization) to gather the facts and make a sound decision regarding the viability of conducting our tours.

New information is coming in each day, and we will provide each guest with specifics before travel commences. We continue to see positive news in the race to find a vaccine for COVID-19. In the mean-time, here is some information outlining what we, Israel, and airlines are doing to prepare to resume tours:

Morning Star Tours:

  • We have suspended subsequent payments from guests until international borders are open to U.S. tourists in order to preserve and protect your investment.
  • We are staying in very close contact with the Israeli Ministry of Tourism along with land and air partners to gather the best and most up-to-date information, and to ensure individual sites, restaurants, and hotels follow likeminded health, sanitation, disinfection, and hygiene protocols aligned with Israeli Government regulations.
  • We are monitoring the flight availability of major airlines.

Israel:

  • Israel has issued the Purple Standard for hotels, outlining in detail mandated protocol for them to follow in order to keep guests safe.
  • Our Israeli partners have outfitted their buses with a newly designed air purifying system capable of ridding the air of Covid-19 and other viruses.
  • Israel is planning for enhanced measures to sanitize buses, venues, sites, and even private transportation for guests to/from the airport.
  • The Israeli government is currently in process of relaxing restrictions domestically, and planning for the imminent opening of the border to tourists.

Airline Industry (please check with each airline for specifics):

  • Airlines are continuing to protect travelers through proven safety strategies.
  • Airlines are requiring facial coverings in public areas and during flights.
  • Airlines have implemented new boarding procedures and food service procedures to reduce contact and interaction.
  • Most are using High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, which generate air as clean as an ICU.
  • Airlines are enhancing cleaning protocols, such as electrostatic and fogging procedures.

Cancellation:

  • If your tour is unable to commence due to border restrictions in Israel, you will be eligible for 100% future tour credit or may request a refund (less 3.3% credit card fees).
  • At this time, all tours beginning in March of 2021, are scheduled to move forward as planned. If you elect to cancel your place on a tour, you will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of your tour.
  • If you have purchased individual airfare, and decide to cancel, please contact your air carrier for further information.

We will diligently continue to monitor developments and keep you updated. Please continue to pray for our team as we work to serve you. Our hope and continued prayer is that you will be able to experience this amazing opportunity to see the Bible come to life in incredible ways!
